Area Profile

Head down the west coast from the bright waterfront township of Avarua towards the district of Titikaveka to the west district of Arorangi. Arorangi is one of five districts that make up the island of Rarotonga.

The Village of Arorangi was settled by Missionaries and the CICC (Cook Islands Christian Church) takes pride of place. The village itself has the only walled gardens on the island, an attempt by the missionaries to remind them of villages back home.

The beautiful west coast is one of Rarotonga’s most popular areas for tourist accommodation and real estate as it has pristine white sand beaches, great for snorkelling; swimming,beachcombing or even diving in the lagoon.
